The Wuhan Line Power composite insulator is composed of a fiberglass epoxy core rod, silicone rubber sheds, and metal fittings.
The silicone rubber sheds are manufactured using an integrated pressing process, addressing a critical issue affecting the reliability of composite insulators - interface electrical spark breakdown.
The connection between the fiberglass rod and the metal fittings uses internationally advanced crimping technology and is equipped with a fully automated ultrasonic flaw detection system. This ensures high strength, an aesthetically pleasing appearance, compact size, and lightweight construction. The metal fittings are galvanized for corrosion resistance and can be used interchangeably with porcelain insulators.
