Pin type insulator with the following:
1. A 'head' and 'neck' that accommodates the conductor
2. Weathersheds to increase creepage distance
3. A base that fits unto the steel pin.
The neck designation of ANSI 'C'. In the straight line position, the conductor fits and is 'tied-off' in the groove on top of the head. In the light to medium angle position, the conductor fits and is 'tied-off in the groove at the side of the neck.
