PRODUCTS OVERVIEW:
The Zinc-Oxide arrester is utilized for the protection of outdoor distribution overhead lines, transformers, cable connectors, and electric equipment from damage caused by lightning impulse voltage and operated over-voltage. How does the ZnO varistor work? ZnO possesses excellent non-linear Volt-Ampere characteristics in which the flowing current is minimal when operating under normal voltage. However, in the event of over-voltage, its non-linear Volt-Ampere characteristics provide protective effects on leakage and breaking current. This occurs as the resistance rapidly decreases to dissipate the energy of the over-voltage.
